The 3rd match of the International League T20 (ILT20) 2025 between Giants of the Gulf and Sharjah Warriors saw an exciting display of batting, with Shimron Hetmyer acquiring the major highlight. The match, held at the iconic Dubai International Cricket Stadium, provided plenty of entertainment for the fans as Hetmyer hit a stunning six off Harmeet Singhadds to the excitement of the game.
The highlight of the Giants’ innings came at 17.3, when Harmeet bowled a fuller delivery to Hetmyer. The West Indian batter shuffled in quickly and timed the ball perfectly, launching it to deep mid-wicket for a huge six. The powerful strike left the spectators in awe as Hetmyer’s dominant stroke showcased his clean hitting ability and further pushed the Gulf Giants’ run rate. Hetmyer smashed two more boundaries to eventually collect 16 runs from the over.

The Giants’ innings was built around key contributions from Rehan Ahmed (46 off 27 balls), Jordan Cox (38 off 32 balls), and a fiery cameo from Hetmyer, who scored 36 off just 23 balls.
In reply, Sharjah Warriorz chased down the target of 175 with a nail-biting finish, winning by 3 wickets. Tom Kohler-Cadmore was the star of the chase, remaining unbeaten on 83 off 56 balls, including 6 fours and 4 sixes. He was well supported by Rohan Mustafawho contributed an important 45 off 33 balls. Their partnership led the Warriorz to a thrilling victory, securing them their first win of the tournament.
