The incident happened while Ashwin who was very active on social media platform X after his retirement, received a comment on one of his posts which said, “Australia thought they could clean us up,” the account with the username @Nishitha018 commented. However, since the account used Ritika’s name and photo, Ashwin thought it was really Rohit’s wife and gave an immediate reply to the comment.

“Hi Ritika, how are you? Regards to the little one and the family,” Ashwin responded to the impersonator’s post. The user continued Ritika and enjoyed the traction it received online after the response from Ashwin. “I’m fine Ashwin anna,” did not reply back. However, at that time, Ashwin realized that this account was fake and deleted the entire conversation.

Ritika and Rohit welcomed a baby boy

In his reply to the impersonator, Ashwin explained to send his wishes to the youngest member of Rohit’s family.
