Jason Kelce’s wife Kylie Kelce might not be a fan of typical nicknames couples use to refer to each other in relationships, but Jason says he found one she doesn’t have a problem with.
The 37-year-old former Philadelphia Eagles player and his wife recently appeared on the Tuesday, December 10 episode of Good mythical morning podcast, where he shared that he calls Kylie, 32, “Joe.”
Jason later explained the name choice to listeners, saying, “I call her Joe because when she played field hockey, she reminded me of a baby kangaroo that she was like squatting.” He also added: “I called her Joey and narrowed it down to Joe. That’s my only nickname.”

Kylie responded to her husband’s comments, saying “Joe” was fine with her, before adding: “Sweetie he’s not allowed to say.” The mother is waiting of three also went on to explain why she accepts that nickname, “There are certain nicknames — sweetie, honey, baby, she, honey — you can only be called those things as a waitress in a diner in South Philly,” and noted that “It just feels aggressive in a way that’s not welcome.”
Kylie most recently made headlines after confirming that her new podcast, Won’t lie, dethroned The Joe Rogan Experience as the top podcast in the US on Spotify and Apple Music. The change in ranking comes after Joe Rogan‘s podcast had comfortably held the top spot for the past few years. Kylie’s podcast had reportedly placed second on the charts before its premiere on Thursday, December 5, and eventually took first place Monday, December 9 and still holding it down.
As for Jason and Kylie, they originally met on Tinder in 2014 and stayed Instagram officially in 2015. The couple share daughters Wyatt, 5, Elliotte, 3, and Bennett, 1, and are expecting a fourth baby daughter to join their family in 2025.
