Collingwood captain Darcy Moore’s radio star girlfriend Dee Salmin has dubbed Christmas ‘friendsmas’ in a Christmas message that will only add to her reputation as Australia’s most woke WAG.
On Friday, the Triple M radio host took to Instagram to post a photo showing her and Moore dressed to the nines, accompanied by the caption ‘just casual friends’.
The term refers to spending the holiday break with your friends, but it also removes the religious overtones of the holiday season by removing the mention of “Christ”.
Salmin and Moore were together when they were photographed holding hands at the Moulin Rouge premiere in Melbourne last August, before going full public as a couple at the 2023 Brownlow Medal. and ARIA Awards ceremony.
In July she stunned raucous fans with an incredibly woke explanation why she doesn’t want to live with the premiership winning star.
“I’m not living with my partner at the moment and we have such different, independent, busy lives,” she said on the ABC Ladies show, We Need To Talk… Back.

“We have so much of what we had when we were still single in our relationship.
“But I wonder how much you can actually maintain that when you end up living together.”
“So much of it is heterodynamic learned behavior that you can fall into.”
Salmin used the five-word term to show that she and Moore did not fit the heterosexual gender stereotype of women taking on the majority of housework and domestic duties when living with a partner.
She was backed up by the show’s host, TV star-turned-radio personality and writer Yumi Staines, who said living together would lead to “housework” that was “not sexy” and asked if Salmin thought everyone couples must live separately.
“I’m going to do it as long as possible,” Salmin said.
“I also told my partner that we will have separate bedrooms (if/when they live together).”
Collingwood fans had mixed reactions to Salmin’s comment, with some even linking Salmin’s comments to Moore’s performance issues – prompting pundit Kane Cornes to boldly call for him to be suspended from the VFL this season.
Others simply found Salmin’s interview confusing due to the use of head-scratching, progressive terminology.

One angry fan wrote online: “No wonder Darcy Moore is playing so badly. His head is full of woke, politically correct, feminist garbage.
“This guy has got to be the most awake football player in history,” commented another.
“Looking forward to the ‘heteronormative round of learned patriarch behavior,'” one tongue-tied fan wrote.
Last month, Salmin hit back at trolls with a a funny five-word statement in a social media post.
She shared a photo on Instagram of her and Darcy attending the Brownlow Medal ceremony in Melbourne, along with a comment she received from a troll.
“Darcy has money, fame and elite football skills, yet he sold his gonads to a feminist witch,” the troll wrote.
Salmin released a cover of the 1972 Eagles classic. Witchy Woman over her post and captioned it with some fancy words – saying she ‘immortalises’ the ‘gonads’ remark as ‘the biggest compliment I’ve ever received’.
It seems Salmin really got a kick out of the remark, as she’s now edited her Instagram bio to call herself a “gonad-stealing feminist witch.”
