By signing 26 executive orders in his first day in office alone, Trump hit the ground running among the fastest serving presidents during his first 100 days in office.
In addition to stemming the flow of migrants entering the United States illegally, Trump has promised to eliminate diversity, equity and inclusion programs in government and to establish a Department of Government Efficiency.
An executive order is a signed statement of how the president wants the federal government to be run. They may come as instructions to federal agencies or requests for reports.
