Check out the companies making headlines ahead of the bell: Ford Motor – The automaker fell 2.1% after Jefferies downgraded the stock to underperform from hold. The company cited inventory overrun concerns along with the valuation. Honeywell – The industrial giant saw shares rise 3% in premarket trading after the company said its management was considering spinning off its aerospace division. Super Micro Computer – Shares lost nearly 14% on Friday after Bloomberg reported that the data center company had hired investment bank Evercore ISI to help raise equity and debt capital. It comes after Super Micro missed deadlines for annual and quarterly financial reports. The bank cited the broader cyclical recovery and Keysight’s acquisition of Spirent, which should give the company higher leverage and a strong margin improvement cadence, as catalysts. Micron Technology – Shares rose nearly 4%. The semiconductor maker will report quarterly earnings after the bell on Wednesday. JPMorgan said in a statement on Monday that it expects strong results. Broadcom – The semiconductor company rose 3%, putting it on track to add to the previous session’s gains. Broadcom jumped more than 24% on Friday after reporting better-than-expected fourth-quarter results, pushing its market cap above $1 trillion for the first time.
