A footballing legend Dustin Martin is laughing all the way to the bank after selling the first home he bought in Melbourne for almost double the price.

Martin, 33, recently retired from AFL after a successful career with Richmond that included three premierships.

A renowned big game player, the champion midfielder also picked up the Norm Smith Medal as best on the pitch in each of the tigers‘ grand final triumphs in 2017, 2019 and 2020.

“Dusty” has since turned his attention to his real estate portfolio and is making a killing.

The home he bought in Albert Park in 2012. – just 4km south of Melbourne’s CBD – recently sold for nearly $1.8 million.

Considering Martin paid $993,000 for the elegant Victorian terrace just over a decade ago, that’s a great return on his investment.
