What can you do with 20p? Not much, you’d think, in modern British economy. You can’t even buy a Freddo.
Well, one fan managed to turn his 20p into almost £1,200 after making a huge Bet Builder on this week Champions League action.
The lucky bettor made a 16 leg bet on several matches Aston Villathe trip of RB Leipzig and the clash of Atalanta with Real Madrid on Tuesday evening.
Against the odds, all the elements of their venture came through and they celebrated a payout of £1,173.39 from Paddy Power.
Both Villa and Madrid managed 3-2 wins and that proved particularly useful for the Englishmen, who are now fifth in the league stage standings.
Ross Barkley provided the winning goal for Villa in the 85th minute and due to Paddy Power’s Super Sub offer, the fan was able to count this as Yuri Tielemans Shot on target after the Englishman replaced him.
