In an outstanding anger, Jammu and Kashmir (J & K) defeated a star-studded Mumbai Team through five wickets in their group a ranji trophy game on Saturday. Mumbai, the 42 times champion and home of cricket, disturbed as the J & K part of Paras Dogra showed strength and determination to obtain their fourth victory.
The game, played in Mumbai’s Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC), saw J & K chase target 205 to seal a historical victory. It marks the second win of the J & K against Mumbai in the history of the tournament, with their first victory since 2014-15 period of the wankhede stadium. In fact, both matches are low-scoring activities, which promote J & K capability to develop under pressure.

Mumbai struggles with their first inings, defeated only 120 runs. J & K exploited the situation, posting 206 in response to lead the yagpis first inning. Mumbai fights back to their second innings, most thanks for Shardul Thakur’s hero. Thakur scored a bold 50 of the first inings and followed it in a scary century a second, which guided Mumbai to a total of 290.
Despite Thakur’s efforts, the J & K lineap batting refrained from their nerves. Contributions from Vivrant Sharma (38), Shubham Khajuria (45), and Abid Mushtaq (32) ensures that visitors pursue target with five hand wickets. This victory does not only strengthen the J & K position at the top of Group A with 29 points but also showed their ability to compete with the most dominant Indian teams.

Fight in Mumbai
