the 4th game on International League T20 (ILT20) 2025 at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi began with high intensity as the fast bowler of Dubai Capitals Dushmantha Chameera produced a stunning delivery to dismiss MI Emirates’ Kusal Perera. The moment highlighted Chameera’s agility and gave the Capitals an early advantage.
Opting to bowl first, the Dubai Capitals aim to make the most of the crisp conditions under the Abu Dhabi floodlights. Their decision proved to be fruitful, with Chameera hitting the first ball of the second over to remove the dangerous Perera, setting the tone for a strong bowling performance.
Chameera, renowned for her pace and accuracy, delivered a beauty to send her Sri Lankan compatriot back to the pavilion. Bowling over the wicket, Chameera bowled a good length ball that zeroed over the off-stump.
Perera, an aggressive left-handed batter, failed to move his feet effectively and tried to defend with a slightly angled bat. Unfortunately for him, the ball caught a thick inside edge and pulled the leg stump. The Capitals celebrated happily, knowing they had taken the wicket of a key player.
This dismissal was a textbook example of top-class fast bowling, leaving Perera no room for error. Chameera’s fiery opening spell set the tone for Dubai Capitals, who looked to capitalize on the early collapse.

Despite the early setback, MI Emirates recovered and reached 91/2 at the end of 11 overs. Their middle-order batters began to strengthen the innings, focusing on rotating the strike while taking calculated risks. The Capitols, however, continued to falter with discipline, keeping batters in check.
